Payomet Jazz Brunch

Payomet Performing Arts Center will host a Jazz Brunch Garden Party on Sunday, October 3, 2021. The event is the organization’s first in-person fundraiser since 2019.

Rising star and vocalist Kat Edmonson will highlight the fundraiser with her charming blend of jazz, cabaret, and vintage “cosmopolitan pop.” Kat is an award-winning songwriter and singer who has garnered attention on Austin City Limits, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, A Prairie Home Companion, and CBS Saturday Morning, among other prominent media outlets.

“Our Jazz Brunch Garden Party will benefit Payomet’s community outreach programs. As a non-profit, we take great pride in re-investing in the Cape Cod community,” said Kevin Rice, Payomet’s Executive Director. “We present music workshops and circus arts programs in our schools. We are looking forward to expanding the circus arts programs into the Mid-Cape region this school year. Our eyes are also on the future, as we help to turn the former Cold War military base at Highlands Center into a vital and robust center for the performing arts.”

During Cape Cod’s “off season,” Payomet will continue to “turn it on” with a robust schedule of events.  The organization will present ten shows in Provincetown from October through May, including Love Whip on Saturday, October 30 and a special holiday show by legendary Sweet Honey in the Rock on Saturday, December 18. Payomet is also booking a comedy series throughout the Cape featuring Jimmy Tingle. Along with circus and music in the schools, Payomet remains steadfast in its mission to develop performing arts programming that reflects the beauty and experience of living on Cape Cod.

Payomet’s Jazz Brunch Garden Party will be held under its music tent on Sunday, October 3 from 11am to 1pm. The event has a strict capacity limit so guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early. The fundraiser will include a hearty brunch, exclusive live auction items, and an intimate concert performance. Payomet’s Cirque by the Sea team of circus artists will provide ambience for the event. Serving as emcee and auctioneer will be Jimmy Tingle, humorist, commentator and founder of “Humor for Humanity.”

Tickets for the Jazz Brunch are on sale now online or by calling 508-487-5400. Attendees are required to present proof of vaccination against Covid-19 or a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the event.
